How we found you

If you received an email from Scoreba, this page explains where we found your address, why we scanned your site, what we keep, and how to stop it.

Where we found your address

We found your website through public sources (public website ranking lists and business directories). We took the email address from your own website, where it is published for business contact. In some countries we only write to role addresses such as info@ or contact@. If your domain doesn't indicate a country (e.g. .com), we work out where you operate only from your homepage (address, phone code, price currency).

Why we scanned your site

We ran an automated accessibility check on a few of your public pages (usually 5) to see whether visitors with disabilities can use them. Our legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): telling a business about issues on its own website that may fall under accessibility law. This check is not a legal compliance assessment. Our scanner identifies itself and follows robots.txt.

What we keep, and for how long

Company name, website, the business email address published on your site, country, and the summary results of the scan (score, main findings, page counts), plus the emails we send you and whether you replied. We do not keep screenshots or copies of your pages: from the scan we keep only summary results (score, page counts, the names of the issues found, how many sample pages each appeared on, and the addresses of those sample pages — at most 5 per issue) and your site name as shown on your homepage. To check whether your business is in scope, the text of your homepage is sent to an automated classification service; we do not store that text, only the result (e.g. “online store, suitable size”). This data is kept for 24 months from the last contact, then deleted. If you opt out, we keep only your address and domain on a suppression list, indefinitely, so that we never contact you or scan your site again.

Services that handle your data

Apify: finding businesses in public business directories (business name, website, contact details listed in the directory). Zoho: our mailbox provider (your email address and the content of the emails we exchange with you). TypeSafe AI: automated classification of your homepage text (see above).

How to object

Use the "Stop these emails and site scans" link at the bottom of our email. It takes effect immediately: we stop emailing you and permanently remove your domain from our discovery and scanning. You can also write to the address below or block our scanner in robots.txt. You have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
